“It is required of stewards that they be found faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2, ESV).
Stewardship means holding something in trust for someone else.
For Christians, the idea of stewardship goes hand-in-hand with the concept of grace. We believe that all of the resources we have come as gifts from God, and such gifts are to be administered faithfully by us on God’s behalf.
Money is often the first thing we think of when considering the idea of stewardship. However, Christian stewardship is about much more. Time and talents are also gifts given to us by God to use on His behalf. However rich or poor we are, we each have something of tremendous value that we can offer back to God to use in His service.
